Since 1991, Encore Travel has provided innovative services, and breakthrough pricing to thousands of satisfied customers throughout the US and Canada. Our business has always been conducted by phone, fax and email. Privately held and located in Northern California, the company was founded by Marina Salzman, a telecommunications engineer and product marketing professional at IBM.

We were the first agency in the west coast to popularize tours of Russia, Ukraine, Siberia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. We still provide river tours on the Volga, Rhine and other major European waterways. Our uniqueness derives from the many years of operation, when we established operating relationships with trusted suppliers in all these locations. The company began its operations before the take over of the White House (Parliament) in Moscow, and has lived through the changes that led to the CIS. Throughout this turmoil, we kept our relationships with established and emerging providers, transportation companies, airlines and hotels in those areas. Suppliers that disappoint our customers are counseled to improve. Failure to improve leads to suspension of the relationship. In contrast to conventional travel agencies we have had longstanding direct relationships with major European and CIS airlines such as Lufthansa, Finnair, Air Ukraine, Aeroflot, LOT, Austrian Airlines, and others.

We are not a Travel Agency in the everyday sense. Our business is based on a long term relationship with our customers. We focus explicitly on delivering the total fiancé experience to our customers, from the initial meetings all the way to her arrival in the US. Once she is here, we continue to work with the customer to arrange family visits as required. Our staff is highly trained and speaks multiple languages and can deal with the suppliers directly in their language.
